Cheese Glorious Cheese

At the Anthill Kitchen we create Artisanal Cheese. Sue is passionate about developing new cheeses and strives to create the best cheese. Using milk from beautiful Jersey cows in a traditional 100 year old cheese Vat. She is perfecting the ancient craft of cheese making. All cheese is hand made in small batches, with no added preservatives. Sold Vacuum packed it can be kept for over a year in your fridge. It will continue to age and develop stronger flavors as it ages.

Cheese

Gouda, a semi-hard cheese with a dense and springy texture. Hints of nuts with sweet and creamy notes, depending on the age, the finish ranges from smooth to sharp. Makes a great cheese toasty or served on a cheese board pair with a sweet onion jam or apples. Serve with a Chardonnay. Cheese comes vacuum packed, grated or whole rounds. K500 per kg.

Gouda with Cumin is a tradtional Gouda with a twist. An unusual creamy, washed curd, Gouda cheese with the addition of pungent aromatic cumin seeds giving a warm spicy flavour that blends beautifully with the texture of the cheese. Serve with beer or a powerful oaked Syrah. Cheese comes vacuum packed as a whole round. K500 per kg.

Aged Cheddar a firm, dense cheese with a sharp, complex, and tangy flavor that intensifies over time. Its texture becomes drier and more crumbly, often developing a crystalline, crunchy texture from calcium lactate crystals. K600 per kg.

Winter Blue. This is a recipe developed by Sue, it is a brie cheese with a hint of blue. It is creamy and oozy with a few blue viens running through the cheese. It has the strong creamy buttery flavour of a brie with a bite of blue. It feels like a warm hug in winter. K600 per kg
